China: Looking Back

In 1992, B+H was one of the first foreign architecture firms to establish a presence in China. We opened our Shanghai studio after winning a design competition for Xiamen International Airport. Over the decades, we’ve seen China’s built environment evolve to accommodate a growing population and demand for urbanization and we used our knowledge of global building technology to create a new typology.
