Giving Back To The Community

China: Looking Ahead

December 4, 2017

To help celebrate our 25th year of design in China, we’re partnering with Educating Girls of Rural China (EGRC) to support two young women who are pursuing educations in design and architecture: Liang Liang Wang and Jia Xue Ming. EGRC is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing high school and university educations to impoverished young women from rural regions of Western China through financial sponsorship, personal support, and mentorship.

On December 3rd, our Shanghai Studio hosted a Bike-and-Walk-A-Thon to raise funds for EGRC. Collectively, the studio raised a total of RMB25,000 which will provide Liang Liang Wang and Jia Xue Ming with the educations they deserve. The pursuit of learning and education is a cornerstone of our culture at B+H. We believe that happiness and prosperity are directly linked to the opportunities schooling provides.

A core component of our values includes giving back to communities, economies, and cultures. We’re committed to making a difference in the lives of others – not only through human-focused design – but through partnerships and initiatives that enhance the growth and development of a region and its people. We’re proud to play a role in helping the dreams of two young women come true.
