Finalists for Future Projects Awards
We are thrilled to announce that two B+H projects are selected as finalists for this year’s 2021 World Architecture Festival (WAF) – Future Projects Awards.
Our Shenzhen Children’s Hospital & Science and Education Building is a finalist for the Health – Future Projects award, and the Shenzhen Natural History Museum is a finalist for the Culture – Future Projects award.
Designed by B+H in collaboration with East China Architectural Design & Research Institute (ECADI), the Shenzhen Children’s Hospital & Science and Education Building was awarded to B+H and ECADI in an international design competition for team’s innovative vision which emphasizes the intersection between research, education and patient care. Providing integrated architecture, medical planning, interior design, and landscape services, B+H will transform the existing hospital into a world-class centre for advanced research and learning in paediatric medicine.
Following the success of the Children’s Hospital, B+H partnered with 3XN and Zhubo Design in an international design competition for the Shenzhen Natural History Museum. The winning competition entry, entitled “Delta”, is set to be one Shenzhen’s “Ten Cultural Facilities of the New Era” and the first large-scale comprehensive natural museum in Southern China once complete.
Being recognized by the WAF is an incredible honour and we look forward to presenting our work to the esteemed panel of judges at the WAF in December.
