Role: Architectural Designer
How would you describe your role at B+H?
I am a designer and project manager, with a passion for applying sustainable design to ensure the prosperity of the people using our buildings, and the environments in which they exist.
What do you enjoy most about your work?
The variety of project opportunities and the diverse group of people I get to collaborate with.
What inspires you?
My family and children.
What are you passionate about outside of work?
I love digital music production, and try to explore and be creative with sound whenever I have a chance.
What is a personal accomplishment you are proud of and why?
Successfully completing my graduate thesis was a turning point in my life that taught me the importance of organizing, pacing, setting and executing goals when facing a difficult challenge.
Who is a person you admire and why?
My brother Teo Dabov, who has always been an inspiration, and has motivated me to succeed in living my best life.
Best place you’ve ever visited?
What do you love about the city where you live now?
The multi-cultural food in Toronto is astounding!
Did you ever have a nickname?
What are some things that make you happy?
A cool glass of water, sunshine, and looking up at the stars on a clear night.
Which words or phrases do you most overuse?
Who is your favorite fictional character and why?
Bugs Bunny, because of his cunning ability to outsmart Elmer Fudd.
What is your greatest hidden talent?
My visual and geographic memory.
What talent do you wish you had?
The ability to play guitar.
How would you describe your approach to life?
Always keeping an open perspective towards the history, opinion, and experiences of others.
If you weren’t a designer, what would you be doing?
I cannot imagine a life without design, it is the cornerstone of all human pursuits.

What is it that you hope to learn or develop by being part of The Catalyst Program?
I hope to develop a framework for growing the research and development talents within our company, and to establish a dedicated group focused on leveraging our specialized knowledge of sustainable design to both clients and the communities in which we operate.
