With more than 90 hospital projects worldwide, B+H has extensive experience in the healthcare sector and a deep understanding of the complex needs of the many communities and stakeholders served by a major healthcare institution. Our approach to medical planning, architecture and design and seeks to provide solutions that optimize the experience for all users.
Our five decades of experience have taught us that that good hospital design is the result of the holistic evaluation of new technologies, new clinical models, and the demographic changes taking place within our hospital clients’ workforces.
In response to changing needs, B+H’s Advance Strategy Group informs the firm’s global experience in hospital design and healthcare delivery by working with our clients to provide a strategic framework for informed decision-making about real estate investments. Advance Strategy is a team of cross discipline consulting experts in planning, real estate, organizational design, research, business management, architecture, interior design and branding. Through research, analysis and scenario development we provide clients with the information they need to make smart, high performance decisions about the future of healthcare delivery and your real estate portfolio.
B+H’s experience encompasses all aspects of strategic healthcare delivery including programming, master planning, feasibility studies, healthcare planning, operational consulting, design, construction documentation, contract administration, field review, workplace strategy, brand development, interior design, and the management and coordination of multi-discipline consultant teams.
We are recognized for our expertise in delivering healthcare facilities through public-private partnerships [PPP/P3/AFP]. We understand the key challenges that impact facility design under various P3 models and know how to assemble assembling winning teams by building consensus among stakeholders and maintaining the momentum to move projects to successful completion.
B+H works in a variety of project roles across the different project phases including Planning, Design and Compliance [PDC]; as project architect in Design, Build, Finance and Maintain [DBFM] projects; and as an active participant in fast-track teams. We have particular strength in coordinating large design and construction teams and it is not unusual for us to manage between 20 to 40 consulting firms on a single project. Our strong facilitation process recognizes the strengths that each consultant brings to the team and we value regional expertise.
